100 WC Week 19

Birthday

"Happy birthday!" My daughter says to me.
Thank you, Angie, now go light the candles." I respond.
Seeing my family happy made it even harder to confess the news.
"I've been told I am supposed to die today." I say in distress.
"Well, blow out your candles. At least we can spend your birthday together." My son, Michael, said to me.
I watch as the flame flickered and then it went out, then I say my goodbyes.
"I love you." I say
"We love you, too." My husband says, then my heartbeat stops.

100 WC Week 18

Sinking

I was home alone wearing my orange pyjamas watching a movie when suddenly it turned pitch black. Silence filled the room and all you could hear were my panicked breaths. Thunder roared as I hurried to my room. Suddenly, water came through the crack in the door and the room was quickly filled with water.  Thoughts swam through my head until I decided to get outside and fast.  The whole city was drenched in water. I took my last breath and said to myself,
"I never should have trusted that lady at the carnival."
Then I started to sink, but I never hit the bottom.

100 WC Week 17

Construction Man

"Ashley, if you reach the top by the end of the day, I'll do your chores for a year." Melanie said to me.
"Deal." I say, determined to reach the top.
I started to climb the stairs, occasionally stopping to stare at the beautiful flowers, then I finally reached the top. I was greeted with a man yelling at the top of his lungs.
"Hey, we're doing construction here!"
"Okay, Okay!" I say petrified and rushed down the stairs.
"Well, Melanie never said anything about having to stay at the top." I say to myself laughing.

100 WC Week 16

Math Test

I was hoping to get out of math class as soon as possible because of the headache I had, but my teacher came in and started handing out a worksheet.  I took a closer look and read,
"Final math exam." My stomach drops, realizing I forgot to study.
Suddenly, I started to feel really nauseated and I guess I looked really sick because I was sent to the nurse's office. As I was running down the hallways, everything started to fade and suddenly everything just went black. That's the story of how I fainted, but got to skip my test.
